Syfy Ghost Hunters Jason Hawes Grant Wilson
WiFi
and communications specialist Max WiFi has won the contract to supply a
network to the television show ‘Ghost Hunters Halloween Live’ in the
United States. The show is screened by Syfy Channel, part of NBC
Universal. They will film a live special at the infamous Pennhurst
Asylum which was shut in 1986. Reports of paranormal experiences have
gone back decades, even when the hospital was open, with reports of
sightings and unexplained noises.
With the States now engaging their audiences through interactive
viewing, Max WiFi will deploy and manage a robust WiFi network across
the site and an RFID solution (Radio Frequency Identification Solution).
This tags the Ghost Hunters and allows the audience watching on
Syfy.com to identify their locations in real time. An incredible 3
million viewers joined the hunt last year, which lasts for 6 hours. As
well as the interactive maps there are loads of other features
to engage the audience including live video, a panic button to get
sightings checked out – in real time – and of course the usual social
media channels, Twitter and Facebook.
This is just one of the large events Max WiFi will supply WiFi to
this year; others include the Hampton Court Flower Festival, Windsor
Horse Show and the Scottish Elections.
Max WiFi has a reputation for providing fail-safe communications
networks and does not gamble with client reputations. All Max WiFi
engineers are CISCO certified and trained to the highest level.
