Event check in using The Apple iPad
At the event guests are quickly and easily checked in using the QR scanner. Automatic SMS triggers can be set up to send a text message to a guest’s host when they arrive, ensuring VIP guests are looked after properly. Multiple iPads and scanners can be connected to the app to seamlessly scale up for larger events or those with multiple points-of-entry.
“We wanted to create an app that was simple to use and would cut down the admin of organising and analysing an event, streamlining the process for everyone from a marketing manager that holds a few events a year, to large events teams that organise hundreds of events,” said Mahesh Ramachandra, Head of Product at ORM London. “By combining the best of enterprise and consumer technology Event Check-in makes the process easy while also creating a great first impression for attendees.”
Following an event, information from the iPads is synched to the Event Check-In portal and all data is consolidated to give an analysis of the event. A customised guest feedback module that integrates valuable customer feedback is one of several enhancements currently in development.
“By connecting the iPad and SocketMobile scanner, a world first, and combining them with SMS and live cloud data Event Check-in is at the cutting edge of connective devices,” continued Ramachandra. “At ORM London we want to continue to push the boundaries and Event Check-in is the first of a number of innovative apps we have planned to help businesses in various industries.”
Event Check-in is now available on the Apple app store, and trial accounts can be set up by contacting ORM directly.
