Gallowglass Health & Safety (GGH&S) has introduced a stand-alone fire safety consultancy, covering both events and permanent premises. The company has already been contracted to supply fire extinguishers at two activations which took place at last week’s V Festival.
Said GGH&S Principal Safety Consultant Steve Kearney: ”Introducing this specialist division is a logical progression for us. As part of our existing risk management consultancy we advise clients on fire safety, and ensure that necessary equipment and procedures are in place to minimise the risk of fire emergencies. Now we’re taking this consultancy to the next level by supplying our own equipment and a team of trained fire safety specialists.”
In addition to providing advice and guidance on the implementation of a robust fire safety management system, GGH&S is making a stock of over 400 fire extinguishers available for short term hire or long term rental, with optional consultancy provided by a team of qualified fire safety experts.
“Fire is one of the major risks associated with event management” added Kearney, “and organisers have legal obligations to ensure the safety of their own staff and event attendees. We believe this will give our clients added peace of mind as we can offer a comprehensive menu of services that extends from basic hire of fire extinguishers to providing bespoke Fire Awareness and Fire Marshall training. And as we’ve got our own fire extinguisher maintenance and servicing engineers, clients will know that the equipment is in good working order and fully compliant with fire safety regulations.
GGH&S was contracted by experiential agency ITCH to supply fire extinguishers at two activations at this year’s Virgin Media V Festival on 17 and 18 August – at both the Hylands Park and Weston Park sites for Virgin Media’s ‘Our House’; and their VIP hospitality area, the Virgin Media Louder Lounge, at Hylands Park.
