Extra KSRTC buses to meet Ugadi rush

BANGALORE: KSRTC has deployed 400-500 extra buses for the Ugadi weekend, from Friday to Sunday. The festival is on Monday.

There'll be special buses from Kempegowda bus station (Majestic) to Dharmasthala, Kukke Subramanya, Shimoga, Hassan, Mangalore, Kundapur, Sringeri, Horanadu, Davanagere, Hubli, Dharward, Belgaum, Bijapur, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Gulbarga, Bellary, Koppal, Yadgir, Bidar, Tirupati

Special buses from Mysore Road bus station to Mysore, Hunsur, Virajpet, Kushalnagar, Madikeri

Premier special buses from Shanthinagar BMTC bus stand to Chennai, Madurai, Kumbakonam, Trichy, Coimbatore, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Hyderabad and other places in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh

Special buses will operate from J P Nagar, Jayanagar IV and IX Blocks, Jalahalli Cross, Navrang Theatre, (Rajajinagar), Malleshwaram 18th Cross, Vijayanagar, Ganganagar, Banashankari, Yeshwantpur and Kengeri Satellite Town. The destinations: Shimoga, Davanagere, Tirupati, Mangalore, Kundapur, Sringeri, Horanadu, Kukke Subramanya, Dharmasthala

Special buses for passengers with advance reservation will start from Mysore Road station towards Hubli, Dharward, Belgaum, Bijapur, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Gulbarga, Bellary, Raichur, Hospet, Koppal, Yadgir, Bidar. Those who don't have reservation will have to take buses from Majestic to the destinations.

Advance reservation of tickets for special and scheduled buses of KSRTC can be booked through 173 counters in Bangalore, 14 counters in Mysore and 54 counters in Mangalore, and 230 computerized reservation counters of KSRTC in other places across the state
