BANGALORE: The Karnataka State Minorities Educational Institutions
Managements Federation has sent a notice to the commissioner for public
instruction, Karnataka seeking clarifications with regards to press note
issued by him.
The Federation has claimed that as per the Supreme court verdict the RTE act is not applicable to unaided minority schools and the high court of Karnataka has also issued a direction on February 7,2014 asking the authorities not to take any coercive action against the member institutions of the Federation in relation to implementation of RTE.
The Federation has said that it will be constrained to to intiate contempt proceedings against the commissioner for public instruction, the DDPIs and BEOs if they continue to harass the member institutions over implementation of RTE.
The Federation also wants the commissioner to issue a clarificatory press note over the issue.
